Swap It To Me: Goods
Can you believe it's a new month already? I'm still working on getting my Valentine's decorations down. Whew. But a new month means a new swap! I'm so excited to see what you all have to offer - and to dig through my things to see what I can offer you!
Here's the rundown one more time:
1) Keep it Legal - please don't offer to swap anything untoward or illegal
2) Keep it Nice - it's ok to say no to a swap offer, just do it tactfully
3) Keep it Fair - don't ask someone to swap a $40 necklace for a bag of M&Ms. Make exchanges equitable.
How it Works:
1) Take pictures of all the things you want to swap.
2) Write up a nice post showing them off and describing them.
3) End your post with a list of things you're interested in trading for (yes, it's ok to just say 'send me an offer')
4) Leave your contact info somewhere easy to find - or specify that all offers should be made in the comment section.
5) Link up here with your post - include a snippet of what you're offering in your title if there's room.
6) Search other posts for things you want.
7) Get in touch and start swapping!
And to make sure we all get as much exposure as possible, feel free to grab the button below to link back here! Can't wait to see all the swaps.

Art Swap
As you know, I can't say no to a swap. When Amber and Lena put together the art swap, I jumped at the chance. Not only would I get to make something fun and creative, but I'd get some new art to hang on my walls! I have a HUGE pile of things that are waiting for homes (we're working on building a house so I haven't bothered to hang them here) and I really want to make a statement wall in the new living room. Something centered around my family and our portraits, but not exclusively photos.
I didn't tell any of that to my swap partner, Megan from Absolute Mommy, but she must have had intuition. I think we both struggled a little with finding "just the right thing" for each other (not to mention the fact that neither of our pieces have actually shipped yet - yay etsy and walmart), but she wound up sending me this:
(Of course, that's a stock photo, so the names will be different). How incredibly perfect! I am so excited to use this as the focal piece to pull together my "family wall" in our new home. It might be a little while before we get to the "picture hanging" stage, but this is going front and center when we do!
Thank you thank you Megan for this awesome piece of art. And many thanks to Lena and Amber for the idea - amazing!

Think Thinner Thursday
You may have read yesterday about the book I just finished
called Fit Moms For Life. I cannot wait to get started on this new program! Not only has it given me the tools to plan healthier menus (it focuses a lot on the GI index to prevent blood sugar highs and lows, which keeps you feeling fuller longer and more stable mentally and emotionally) and to work out effectively, but it's given me the motivation to work out some of the emotional baggage I have regarding fitness, health and weight loss. I think the benchmark measurements it has you take will be really helpful in keeping track of my progress without having to weight myself (which I hate doing) all the time.
I'll be posting all my benchmarks at my fitness blog which I'm linking up below so that you all can track my progress with me. In the meantime, I hope you'll consider linking up your own fitness/diet/health journeys (and/or related posts) below. Thanks all!

Recipe Of The Week: Tuna Burgers
I recently picked up a package of Udi's gluten free hamburger buns on sale. When I got home, I realized they'd be perfect for making an old favorite that I haven't had in years. Hot, gooey and fairly healthy, these have been a hit in my family since I was a kid. Even my kids love them (though my 2 year old still calls them 'hamburgers').
Tuna Burgers
2 cans tuna packed in water
1/2 cups chopped black olives
5 green onions, sliced thin
2 stalks celery, sliced small
6 slices cheddar (or any cheese you like), diced
1/4 cup mayonaise (or greek yogurt)
dash salt and pepper
6 hamburger buns
In large bowl, mix all ingredients (except buns). Open buns and scoop tuna filling inside. Close buns and wrap in foil. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
