Author of the Week: Byron Barton
Our kids love books. They beg to climb up and read in Mommy's lap several times a day. And almost as much as books, they love things that go. Trains, cars, airplanes, boats, construction vehicles - just about anything that moves. Lucky for us, Byron Barton has an entire series of books all about things that go. Trains is the current favorite in our house, but all of his books are filled with bright, engaging illustrations and simple descriptions of the vehicles they cover. Our 3 year old has them all memorized word for word and is very proud that he can 'read' them to himself - which he frequently does. Many of his books are also compact in size and sturdy in construction and travel very well in a purse or diaper bag. If you've got a little pilot or engineer in your family be sure to check these out!
