Versatile Blogger Award

I don't usually fill these things out - but today feels like a good day to do one.   A great big thanks to

It's time for the

 which apparently means that now it's my turn to share 7 random things about myself.  Ok, I'll take a stab at it:

1) I'm afraid of clowns.  Like "can't go to the circus because it is terrifying" kind of afraid.  I blame a childhood exposure to Pagliacci, but whatever...

2) I eat really weird things.  Like peanut butter on watermelon.  Or fudgesicles with dill pickles. And I like brussel sprouts. 

3) Speaking of eating - I can't eat gluten.  I don't really mind.  It keeps me out of the cookie aisle.  Now if only I didn't know how to bake...

4) I hate sports.  Well, ok, I hate sports on tv.  I have zero team spirit.  I don't mind playing sports (though I'm no good) - I just don't like rivalry.

5) I have never dyed my hair.  And I probably never will.  I love my natural color and I'm a little scared of all the chemicals.

6) I am a total control-freak when it comes to making crafts with my kids.  For heaven's sake, just give them the paint and the glue and who-cares-if-it-ends-up-looking-like-a-bunny-or-not!  Apparently, I do.  Some day I will learn to let go.  

7) I have a really strong sense of smell.  Sometimes my opinion of someone is way too heavily influenced by whether or not I like their cologne/perfume.  I also hate going into public schools because I can't stand the smell.  I don't like the smell of baking chicken.  But I love the smell of a wood-fire on a cold day.
